It does work in the USA,honest! - 12 Jul 2005

I too bought this phone to travel to the USA and it worked fine on both the east and the west coasts and also in Canada.
The problem I had with this phone was the buttons didn't always work so sometimes I couldn't answer calls and I couldn't put the phone lock on for fear of never being able to turn it off.
Also it's a phone for 14 year olds as it lights up like a glow stick at some dogey rave when it rings. The actual ring tones are all kiddy orientated too and you can't even get around it by just using the bog standard "ring, ring" as it sounds like extremely high pitched car alarm.
phoneless in the USA - 04 Jul 2004

I bought this phone to use on holiday in the USA recently, as it is a triband phone. Yes, it's small and cute looking, yes it's got great sound and does all sorts of things - except one, it doesn't work in the USA! Vodafone's help line cost me over £50 in charges to try to get it to work, with the final comment from them, "use a pay phone, it's cheaper!" OK, over here it works fine and is an asset, but when I needed it most it was a wash out.

This phone is a good little telephone on the best network for the best price! The colour screen is vibrant and well light, just like the front cover and the keypad! Unfortunatly the camera is far too expensive, however Nokia have just realised a new "mobile mini camera" at the carphone warehouse, (come on amazon you could sell this too!) which is about half the fun camera's price, which is good!
Also, it seems that there is a radio attachment which is avalible in america, yet not yet in England. However that should hopefully be shipped across very soon!
Come on people, Buy this phone - it's better and cheeper than the Orange alternative (although they do offer 5 free messages every day, but thats beside the point, hehe!)
