Simple, inexpensive and perfect as a spare! - 31 Dec 2006

I purchased this phone for my daughter who was at Uni and in need of a spare should her 'proper' mobile (a pebl) fail. Well I lost count how many times her phone failed and she turned to the Nokia and frankly it did everything it said on the tin and the battery just lasted and lasted.
It is simplicity itself and reliable too. It does not have all the bells and whistles of the expensive phones, but frankly that was not the point!
For ease of use, simplicity and reliability this is the one for you!

I have only been in possession of two other phones, this is definitely the best I have had. It is easy to operate, the battery lasts for an amazing amount of time and I fully recommend it.

I've read a few bad reviews about this phone which criticise its lack of features, but I think they've missed the point. A phone doesn't need to have a camera, video, colour screen, mp3 player etc...etc..., to be a good PHONE. If you rate this as what it is - just a phone with a few basic extras - it excells. It's very small and solidly built, inexpensive, very simple to use, and(thanks to a lack of power-hungry extra functions) has amazing battery life.
For me its simplicity is an advantage not a disadvantage and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a basic phone.

I recently purchased a Nokia 1100 and although it is a very attractive phone, it's capabilities really are very basic. It's a great phone if you simply need a mobile for emergencies or to send the occasional text message. However, should you wish to personalise the phone, it is near on impossible. Although the Ringtone Menu has empty spaces for new polyphonic ringtones, I have yet to find a website that is compatible for downloading ringtones to this phone, which to be honest I find a little diappointing.
fantastically basic - 01 Sep 2006

Do you want a phone to make phone calls? If so then this is the baby for you!
I got one of these for my wife as she's a bit of a technophobe.
Also she never charges it but this has a quite outstanding 400hrs standby time.
Ohh and it also has a wee led torch on the top.
