I purchased this phone for my Mother as a gift, and although she is not technically gifted(bless), this phone suited her a treat. Its basic use as a phone is ideal, and without all the expensive bells and whistles to confuse her.

I purchased this phone for my wife who likes a basic phone for the odd call and for texting to and from the kids.It's so basic,you don't need to read the instruction manual.A Nokia phone for this money is incredible value and highly recommended.Great battery life ,often lasting a full week before requiring a recharge and so lightweight,you forget your carrying it around.A great buy!!

Ok, so it was my birthday and my mum said why don't you buy this with your birthday money, so I did. I'm not a great fan of phones, but for something quick and easy to use-it was perfect. I always have a problem finding the on/off button on phones but this one, I didn't even have to read the instructions to turn it on! The battery life-the best I've ever sewen on a phone, it would last me usually about 5 days (being on about 20 hours a day). It is really light and small and will fit into your pocket easily. If your just looking for a good, easy-to-use phone without the camera and bluetooth settings, this is the perfect phone to get! I would definately recomend this phone to anyone!

This is an updated 3310/3330/3410. It was delivered quickly - within 4 days with Super Saver Delivery.
It has a useful torchlight built in, which can either be "held" on by pressing the C button or "switched" on for longer periods. I assume that longer periods would have a dramatic effect on battery life, although the userguide doesn't say.
Talking of the userguide, it's very well written, and good to have a proper one, rather than the electronic pdf guide that often comes with other gadgets, cameras etc.
Battery life is brilliant generally - about 300 hours on standby!
So it's a great phone, but I have discovered that it lacks a critical feature of the old 3310/3330/3410 - voice dialing. On my 3410, I can plug my headset in, press the button on the headset cable, say "HOME" and it would hunt for a voice match (previously set by me) and trot off and dial it for me. The lack of this feature on the 1100 is a serious drawback for car users (and encourages drivers to use the phone illegally), and for this reason I am keeping my old (rather worn out) 3410 as my main phone, and the 1100 that was due to replace it is now relegated as a spare.

I bought this mobile phone as a gift for my mum. Mainly, I was looking for a phone that she could use, as she has had a couple of mobile phones before, but she never could use them, why? well because she doesn't get technology and she found mobile phones too much of a hassle to get into. So, for mother's day I decided we really needed her to keep in contact with the world. It was then when I found the Nokia 1100.
This mobile is excellent because it has big and simple entry keys, you can easily read numbers and letters, It has the basic functions of a mobile phone, and It's easy to use. It even has a small torch on the top of the phone that my mum has found very useful when coming back late at night in order to find the keyhole of the front door. She now has been able to use it without any problems and it looks like she's becoming a text addict.
I would strongly recommend this mobile phone if you are looking for a simple, easy to use mobile that you can fit anywhere and show off to your friends (especially if they are a bit behind with technology). Also for the price, this is a winner. A*****
