Terrible Text function - 14 Mar 2008

There are some good points sbout this phone, for instance the ringtone and alarm is the loudest I have ever heard on a phone and navigating the menu is easy enough. Bu the function - or lack of it - that seriously lets this phone down is the text messaging. The predictive text function has provided lots of amusement for me and anybody I show it to, how ironic is it that this phone cannot recognise the word 'spell'. So far I have had trouble getting its dictionary to recognise 'it' 'and' 'there' 'good' 'today' 'post' etc etc. Even the most basic words in the English dictionary are not recognised and I had to add them to the dictionary myself. Words that are succesfully recognised only appear after you have shuffled through 5-10 options passing through many strange ideas about words the phone decides you may have been looking for that make no sense alphabetically, logically and some foreign words were offered up before finding 'thought' for instance. Ridiculous, honestly I am not exaggerating when I say this is what this retard of a phone thought I wanted when I tried to spell 'tomorrow'
"UOMORRMY?"
Useless at text.

Bought one for my Mum (on the Virgin network) as she needed a simple phone but liked it so much I bought one for myself. My Panasonic with colour screen and fancy ringtones is now consigned to the drawer.
The Nokia is light with a long battery life and - a really useful feature - a torch. I'm thinking of getting another one as a spare!

Inredible value - this phone comes with £5 worth of calls and only cost £17.46 delivered! The T mobile sim is ready to put in and go - phone is actually unlocked - no need to register. It is very easy to use. Bought as a spare it will be very useful for the kids and won't break the bank if they lose it! This would be a good buy as a first phone for kids or for anyone who just wants a straight forward no nonsense phone. Battery life is excellent.

I bought this as first phone for my son. What a bargain! Its has plenty of functions for a cheap phone and it is easy to use.
Not too expensive if my son loses it either. I would recommend this phone to anyone who does not want to spend a lot of money or if its their first phone.
