Although i never brought mine off this site, The phone is fantastic! Its a very simple phone to use which makes it an excellent first phone. Dont expect features such as mp3, camera etc but a trusty, reliable and tough little phone. Well worth the money, you wont be dissappointed.

This was the first phone i got and I got it when I was 11 and then it was good because it was cheep and not confusing to understand! Also I dropped it so many times and it didn't brake just a few scratches! Someting I did find upsetting was that any half decent cases were about £15 and seeing as I'd spent £30 on the phone that was a bit silly! But for how much you'r paying for it is good but I'd reccomend it to younger people for maybe their first phone!!!
Don't buy this! - 09 Oct 2004

The Siemens A55 is not very interesting at all. It has no "special features" at all. The best thing about it is that it has polyphonic ringtones. That's how bad it is. It does not have a colour screen, camera, MMS, or e-mail. Why buy this phone when you could buy a phone with at least a colour screen for just a little more? For only £36.99, the price is right.
Aaaaahh. Now that I've had a chance to vent some steam and bring out this phone's bad points, I'll bring out its few good points.
The battery is pretty long lasting (as long as you have it switched off. Bwahahahahah!)
The polyphonic ringtones are OK,
it is pretty much resistant to bumps and bangs,
you can download ringtones and pictures via its mobile internet,
it has animated (not very) screensavers,
and it has an orange backlight,
you can buy changeable covers for it,
an it has clear speakerphone, but it has hardly any use except for when you make or accept a call when you eating something greasy, (e.g. fried chicken) it's no good in the car because the sound of the engine will drown out your voice.
All in all, this mobile could me much better. Much much much better! Go treat yourself to a mobile for almost the same price that at least has a colour screen. So, DON'T BUY THIS UNLESS YOU'RE DESPERATE!

Fantastic phone. Being hard of hearing has meant that I have waited a long time for a mobile phone that does not cause interference with my hearing aids. The main highlight for me is the ability to use the handsfree speakerphone (with volume control). All the other controls are very easy to use and it comes with some good animations and games - well worth it and a big thankyou to Siemens for enabling a hard of hearing person use a mobile phone.
