Nice Phone - Shame About The Battery Life - 18 Dec 2007

The C261 is a nice little phone - quality feel to the build, good reception and fairly light in the pocket.
It is completely let down by its battery life - 3 days without using the phone for calls - less if used. I had the battery changed under warranty and they updated the software too. Battery life went up to 4 days on standby for a couple of months and is now back down to 2 to 3 days - and I do wait until it's fully discharged before I recharge.
The battery life is the only reason I wouldn't recommend this phone to anyone.

A good little phone, bit limited on ring tones but nothing different from most motorola phones on the market right now.
the only problem i have is with texting, probably where i have big fingers but the directional button is too close to the cancel button, resulting in me canceling my entire text instead of selecting the correct word from the predictive text! usually when i have input a rather large text!
multi-page texting is a nice touch, camera isn't bad and you have a few picture effects to play with. for the price not bad at all
