Nice phone shame about Sony's service ... - 23 Dec 2007

I got the w700i on an Orange contract, which I loved for its features and was the best option at purchase time. The w700i developed a fault & was returned 5 times with no fix. After 3 months of not having the use of the w700i, it was replaced with a w800i, which also developed a fault, after only 3 months of use!

Sony explained that they do not possess a crystal ball and cannot guarantee a phone to work for any period of time. The only course of action is to send the phone back for repair - why do I not believe that they will fix this replacement phone?!?

It is of no consequence to Sony that a lone female driver, on quiet country roads should actually need a phone that works, and due to the above circumstances would not actually want to return the replacement phone for repair!

Call costs to Sony run high at 10p/min, average call costing £2, with numerous calls required with unsatisfactory results.

Buy at your own peril ...

High quality Phone - 05 Sep 2007

This phone is the best phone ive evr had. Its very reliable, quite sturdy (i've dropped mine a few times and only a scratch on the mirror beside the camera) easily accessible walkman, clear camera, MP3 player, heaps of memory, fun games and good texting and phoning capabilities. The best thing about the phone is, that it's cheap.

There are later phones that have been made but don't match up to the quality and lastability of this one. Buy this phone if you are looking for something cheap and that can hold your multimedia.

A Great Phone - One of the best! - 03 Jan 2007

If you like listening to music on the train in the car or anywhere for that matter and have either left your Ipod else where or do not have one this is the best phone for you. I like it a lot ok at first I had one or two hiccups with it:
1. The Cd that comes with it for phones2disc I couldn't get it to work and so I ended up just placing the CD of mu choice in the drive and then all the songs cme up on the screen and it had worked! I was surprised.

2. This is more advice than something that was wrong - the joy stick if you think it might be getting a bit dirty well the nest time you or someone else in your family or friend might be hoovering just give it a little hoover over the joystick it means all the little bits have gone out of the joystick area and it's less likely to get damaged or broken

I hope this was helpful and I hope you enjoy the phone if you decide to buy it.

YOU MUST BUY THIS PHONE!!!
i brought this phone the other day and i am so pleased with it. The walkman is brilliant, the bluetooth actually works unlike the previous motorola that i had. I have only found a couple of faults with it though. The first one is that the speakers arent very loud, the w550i has really good speakers, but there is a answer for this buy more speakers. The other problem i have has with it is that the disc that comes with it (dics2phone) is very hard to use. I was putting songs on it the other day and i had out about 20 and then it just randomly wiped of all my songs. But other than this it is a great phone.
